Hands-On Review — Updated May 2026
I've dealt with seasonal allergies and chronic sinus congestion for 15 years. I've tried every neti pot and squeeze bottle on the market. Here's what happened when I switched to the Navage — and what nobody tells you about the SaltPod cost.

Traditional neti pots use gravity: you tilt your head and saline drains through one nostril and out the other. The Navage replaces gravity with a motor. Insert the top nosepiece into one nostril, press the button, and the device simultaneously pushes saline in and pulls it out through the other nostril. The used saline — along with mucus, allergens, and debris — collects in a lower chamber you empty afterward.
The key difference is active suction. Many allergy sufferers find gravity irrigation insufficient — congestion blocks the flow. The Navage's motor overcomes this. Based on customer reports across 50,000+ Amazon reviews, roughly 80% of users report noticeably clearer nasal passages after the first session.
Each SaltPod is a sealed single-use capsule containing pharmaceutical-grade isotonic saline. The device pierces the pod automatically — no measuring, no mixing salt and water.
We tested the Navage Starter Bundle over 90 days — once daily during allergy season (April–May 2026) and every other day during lower-symptom periods. Where possible, we note what we measured directly; for areas we couldn't independently test, we cite Amazon customer reports transparently.
| Test Area | Method | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Ease of use (day 1) | Personal use | Awkward — took 2 sessions to find correct head angle |
| Ease of use (day 7+) | Personal use | Smooth — under 3 minutes start to finish |
| Congestion relief | Self-reported (30 min post-rinse) | Noticeably clearer in 90%+ of sessions |
| Device durability | 90-day continuous use | No mechanical issues; suction strength unchanged |
| Battery life | Personal use | ~3–4 weeks with daily use (2 × AA) |
| Mess factor | Personal use (vs. neti pot) | Less messy than neti pot — sealed lower chamber |
| Long-term (6+ months) | Customer reports (Amazon) | Majority report device still working at 1–2 years |
Note: Individual results vary. We cite Amazon customer data for metrics we cannot directly measure.

"I've struggled with seasonal allergies for 15 years and tried every neti pot on the market. The Navage is the first one that actually clears my sinuses properly — the suction gets everything out. Worth every penny, even with the SaltPod subscription."
"My allergist recommended Navage after my third sinus infection in a year. Three months in and I haven't needed antibiotics since. The pods feel expensive but they're cheaper than co-pays and prescriptions. My whole family uses it now."
"Six months of daily use and my morning congestion is basically gone. I sleep through the night now for the first time in years. The 60-count SaltPod packs on Subscribe & Save bring the cost down to manageable. 5 stars, no hesitation."
"Great product — real learning curve though. The first two uses felt completely wrong. By day three, it clicked. My 10-year-old uses it independently now with zero issues. Just budget for the pods; they add up if you use it daily."

Most Navage users stock up on SaltPods right away. Here are the three most popular add-ons:
The device is a one-time cost. SaltPods are where the ongoing expense lives. Here's a realistic 12-month cost breakdown:
| Usage frequency | Pods/year (30-ct) | Annual pod cost | Year 1 total (incl. device) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Daily | 365 pods (~12 packs) | ~$204/yr | ~$303 |
| Every other day | ~180 pods (~6 packs) | ~$102/yr | ~$201 |
| 3× per week (allergy season only) | ~70 pods (~3 packs) | ~$51/yr | ~$150 |
Tip: Amazon Subscribe & Save on 60-count packs reduces per-pod cost by ~15%.
The Starter Bundle is the right starting point — it comes with enough SaltPods to know if Navage works for you. Stock up on 60-count pods afterward for better value.
